Daily Briefing

Wednesday 26th April 2017

ALL

1.

As part of the work carried out to upgrade our fire safety systems on both sites, we have taken the opportunity to try and improve site security as well. As such, there will be slight changes in access to the building on the Trent campus after the Easter break.

The two sets of doors on the front of the main Trent block and the front doors to the Sixth Form block will be locked using the new maglock system during all lesson times. The maglocks will automatically release at break times. Doors can be released from the inside using the green release buttons at any time of day.

This means that during lesson times, the only way into the building from the front will be through the main reception doors.

The back doors (through the atrium) remain accessible during lesson times. We are working on other measures to secure the back of the campus and these will be communicated separately.

Please note that all doors will be maglocked until 8am and after 4pm.

Finally, please note that if you intend to remain in the Academy (on either site) after 6pm you MUST inform site services to avoid being locked in.

2.

Boogie Nights - It's not too late to sign up to be in the chorus. If you are interested, speak to any member of the Creative Arts Department and they'll inform Mr Roberts who can add you to the chorus list. Rehearsals will be starting soon, so keep an eye out
