DOVE

1.

Dove Debate Club runs every Wednesday for years 7 - 9. If you enjoy discussion / argument then this is the place for you. Every week we will debate an issue of your choice: from school uniform, to homework to whether DC or Marvel have the best superheroes! You decide! There'll also be opportunities in the year to debate against the KS4 Debate Club and (hopefully) debate clubs from other schools. Runs every Wednesday at 12.30pm in DB 30. Want to know more? Ask Mrs Kyriacou or your English teacher.

Trent Book of the Week: "Encounters" by Jason Wallace. "Just because no one believes you, doesn't make you a liar." The aliens came just after the children had gone to the playground for their break time. A team of psychiatrists has travelled to Zimbabwe to investigate what appear to be impossible reports of an extraterrestrial encounter. Six teenagers lives are changed forever as they discover that they are far more connected to something out there.
