Grade 5 ~ Actual salary £15,057 - £16,795 per annum

 

The de Ferrers Academy has gained a reputation for high levels of academic achievement, demonstrated by another extremely successful year for our students at GCSE and A-level.  We have a positive ethos and excellent staff/student relationships, together with a commitment to the personal and professional development of our staff.    In recent years, the Academy has developed a national reputation for innovation and success in Learning technologies and ICT.   The Academy is an Apple Regional Training Centre, with 1:1 use of iPads for all Key Stage 4 and 5 students.  

 

This post offers a varied and rewarding role within the Academy, working under the guidance of senior staff providing ICT Support and to function as part of a flexible team of Technicians operating in a variety of curriculum areas within the Academy. Duties are varied but will include:

  • To assist the Technical Support Manager to ensure that the curriculum and administration networks are efficiently and effectively managed, e.g.

On a day to day basis:-  updating students’ passwords on request, installing users, installing software, checking for unauthorised use, auditing use, building network stations, technical support functions including fault diagnosis and resolution.

  • To assist with support to Trust Partner Schools
  • To liaise with external suppliers/agencies, eg Entrust, for orders of repairs to equipment
