Consultation Day 2010
Our next annual Consultation Day will take place on Wednesday 6 January 2010. The college timetable will be suspended for the day and students will only attend for the consultation appointment.
Invitations to the event will be posted to you on 9 November with a return date of 17 November. Copies of the letter and appointment booking form will be available on the de Ferrers website.
Early in December appointments will be organised so that a convenient time can be agreed. We hope that parents will offer as many time slots as possible to enable us to spread appointments throughout the day.
The college will be open from 7.45 a.m. until 6.45 p.m. and you will have the opportunity to spend 15 minutes with the tutor and your son/daughter so that progress can be discussed and targets agreed.
During December, you will receive an Interim Report which will show your son/daughter’s current performance, effort and attitude and approach to assessment work. Attendance data and issues relating to behaviour will be available on Consultation Day.
It is hoped that every parent will accompany their son/daughter. Where this is not possible, an appointment will be made with the student.
College uniform must be worn by all students on this day.
Additional Information
- A Sixth form Open Day will also take place on 6 January specifically for Y11 students and their parents (details will be provided later).
- The Connexions Service have organised a Careers Exhibition that will take place in Trent Hall during late afternoon on Consultation Day. All parents are welcome to attend (additional details will be provided later).
