E-Learning
de Ferrers achieved the ICT mark in 2008 for its widespread use of ICT in many areas, especially Teaching & Learning. The college is now developing its phase 2 VLE - Frog, an online Virtual Learning Environment - after several years of sucessfully using the Netmedia MG4L system.
With the Frog VLE students can:
- Communicate with staff and each other and take part in votes and surveys
- Access learning resources, including lesson notes, movies & animations, e-learning games
- Use revision material to help study, such as weblinks, podcasts and quizzes
- Submit homework and assignments set electronically
- Collaborate with each other and practise 'social networking' in a safe environment
- Access their own documents and shared documents on the school network
