Technology College
What is it about?
Specialist schools work within a "family of schools" for the benefit of pupils beyond their own school boundaries and other groups of people in the wider community. This will ensure that the specialist schools initiative will be far-reaching in its impact.
The aims of the specialist schools initiative are to:
- extend the range of opportunities available to students which best meet their needs and interests
- raise the standards of teaching and learning of the specialist subjects in schools
- develop within the schools characteristics which signal their changed identity and which are reflected in the school's aims. This new identity should be clear to other schools and the local community
- benefit other schools in the area.
de Ferrers is a college specialising in ICT, Mathematics, Science and Technology.
