Latest news for March 2016
With the Talent show finals, hundreds of students & staff in costumes for world book day, the launch of ACE days and numerous fund raising activities for the Wish upon a Star charity, life is never dull in The de Ferrers Academy.
My colleagues and students have even persuaded me to take part in a 300+ feet bungee jump on 24th April to raise even more funds for the wonderful Wish upon a Star charity - wish me luck! However, we never allow any of these fun and exciting activities distract us from our core business of ensuring every single student reaches their potential - whether they want to or not! Everything is geared up to ensure another Summer of record examination results and all our students appear determined to be successful attending a huge range of revision activities before and after the academy day, at weekends and over the holiday periods. Thanks must go to my fantastic colleagues in the Academy who are working incredibly hard to ensure every student maximises their progress and is on track to reach their true potential.
The de Ferrers Trust, launched in September 2016, will soon be welcoming a number of new schools to the de Ferrers family and we greatly look forward to supporting even more young people in achieving their potential.
