Students battle it out to be crowned talent show winners
Students from The de Ferrers Academy took to the stage to showcase their talent and battled it out for the £200 prize.
The 20 finalists picked from a round of heats had to impress the audience who had to choose the winner.

First place went to Year 8 student Corinne Kelcey, who wowed the crowd with a rendition of ‘The Power of Love’ by Jennifer Rush.
Second place was awarded to Year 7 student Archie Hasdell, who won £100, for his mystery magic act.
Year 9 student Lily Prince was awarded third prize of £50, for her performance of ‘No One but You (Only the Good Die Young)’ by Queen.
Mr Aston, Music Teacher and Leader of the Event said
“We’ve had two heats that have shown what a breadth of talent we have in all years across the Academy. The judges had an incredibly tough time deciding which acts should be put through to the Grand Final. Congratulations to the winners and to all that took part in the heats, they were all fabulous!”
