Senior Citizens' Party 2018

Year 11 supporting the local community

Another fabulous year for the Senior Citizens' Party.  Over 250 senior citizens thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon’s entertainment, Santa, food and tea (lots of tea!).

Our guests left us with some really comments, one of which was "there is more talent here than on the tele"!  The students were excellent and a real credit to the Academy, they should be very proud of themselves.  In particular Euan Gardiner, Fabien Dunbar and Ed Brown, who were  PA's for the day, went above and beyond.

In the words of one visitor: “I was very lucky yesterday to join in the Christmas senior citizens party.  Please pass on my thanks and good wishes to all that made this event so successful.  You must and should be very proud of your students, who showed great respect to us recycled teenagers.  The entertainment and the food were excellent, not sure about Santa and his bingo skills!  No that’s unfair, bingo was fun. I will say at times I thought the students showed more manners than some of my fellow seniors who should have known better than talk during the entertainment, that aside it was a perfect afternoon.  Our table hosts Taylor and Lauren were lovely attentive students. Please pass on my thanks to staff and students.”

Enormous congratulations to our fantastic Year 11 and organiser Miss Port for doing an amazing job.
