Online learning

Please find below useful links and information about online/remote learning. We will post additional information and guidance here too, as needed.

Although we have asked students and staff to broadly follow their existing timetables where possible, to provide some structure and spread work out, we know that this will not always be possible for a wide variety of reasons.

The Academy has a long history of innovation in using online tools and mobile technology to support teaching and learning. Some of the main tools we use are:

Workflow and marking/feedback:

Showbie www.showbie.com (or app)

Google Classroom https://classroom.google.com

Although we use these extensively with Year 9 - Year 13, staff are also creating Showbie or Google Classroom classes now for all Year 7 and Year 8 classes. These sites/apps allow students to download and upload work and receive feedback. Work in books/on paper can be uploaded as photographs.
