Course content

The BTEC Business qualification looks closely at the inter-related nature of business focusing on units that cover a broad range of business disciplines. Students will study a range of units that give them a taste into the different functional areas of a business focusing on topics and issues that are relevant in today’s society. The course provides a dynamic learning style, with students becoming actively involved in business processes including event management, and recruitment and selection.

 

Year 1: 

  • Unit 1: Exploring Business
  • Unit 2: Developing a marketing campaign
  • Unit 4: Managing an event (double award only)
  • Unit 5: International Business (double award only)

 

Year 2: 

  • Unit 3: Personal and Business finance
  • Unit 8: Recruitment and Selection
  • Unit 6: Principles of management (double award only)
  • Unit 19: Pitching for a new Business (double award only)
