This is a superb opportunity to join the support staff of this vibrant and successful Academy Trust. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and versatile person for the following role at our Sixth Form Campus:

CURRICULUM AREA LEARNING SUPERVISOR

Grade 5, Actual salary £15,057 - £16,795

37 hours per week, Mon-Fri (term time only)

We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to work in our Sixth Form Campus, to act as a Cover Supervisor during teacher absence, taking responsibility for students who are carrying out work set by the teacher. The successful candidate will also support in the Independent Study Centre guiding students in conjunction with a qualified teacher/Sixth Form Learning Mentor, to support intervention strategies with underperforming students. This will include setting up individual action plans, monitoring student performance, and supervising these students in extra timetabled study periods in the ISC (Independent Study Centre), when not covering.

Although linked to the Sixth Form Campus, the post-holder can be required to work as a Cover Supervisor in any subject or campus. The post-holder is required to be flexible as the cover schedule is determined on a daily basis, and the post-holder will be required to work across all campuses. Specialist subject knowledge is not essential, but key attributes are flexibility and an approachable and positive manner.  Cover is determined on a daily basis, and when not assisting in the classroom, you will be required to support in administrative tasks, preparation of resources/materials and contributing to extra-curricular activities.   This post is full time, term time only.
