Intake 2020

Update 16/7/20

 What happens next?

 Summer Work

Following our virtual Sixth Form induction, students have been set summer work. All transition work (short tasks, induction work, summer work) is available on Showbie. Students who have received an offer to study in the Sixth Form have been issued with the code to access the Induction Showbie class.  The transition work is to support students with making a smooth transition into Year 12.

Internal Applicants - GCSE Results Day

Students will receive written confirmation of their final Sixth Form offer on GCSE results day. If a student wishes to accept this offer they will need to drop their acceptance slip into the box on their way out. If a student wishes to discuss their offer they will need to make an appointment for an interview on Friday 21st August (on the Sixth Form Campus). Students will be able to book an appointment at the Sixth Form desk BEFORE they leave the Dove campus. If a student is unable to attend GCSE results day their offer letter will be emailed to them.

External Applicants - GCSE Results Day

Students are required to enrol at the Sixth Form Campus on Thursday 20th August from 10am - 4pm. Students will need to bring a copy of their GCSE results so we can confirm their Sixth Form offer. Students will also be asked to complete an enrolment form so will need to bring contact details for parents/carers. Ties (£8)/lanyards and locker will be available on this day.

Year 12 Induction (orientation) Day  - Friday 4th September

Following GCSE results day we will be in touch with Year 12 students to let them know when they are required to attend on this day.

Students will be required to attend in uniform and bring their own drinks/snacks.

Sixth Form Applications - Next Steps

To enable us to process Sixth Form offers on GCSE result day we need students to confirm their subject choices. We will try our best to accommodate changes to original offers but this will be dependent on entry criteria being met, and class sizes.

We strongly recommend completing the form below once the short tasks and induction work has been completed so students are able to make an informed decision.

The form asks students to state their preferred subject choices followed by their back up options. Students will need to refer to the Pool Sheet and the Subject Entry Criteria.
