The de Ferrers Academy has gained a reputation for high levels of academic achievement, demonstrated by the fact that the 2016 results at GCSE and A-level are the best on record.  We have a positive ethos and excellent staff/student relationships, we value our staff and are committed to their personal and professional development.    In recent years, the Academy has developed a national reputation for innovation and success in Learning technologies and ICT.   The Academy is an Apple Regional Training Centre, with 1:1 use of iPads for all Key Stage 4 and 5 students.

There are a number of students who have difficulties in, or are unable to, access the main curriculum in our Academy. These students are across all year groups Year 7 – Year 11.  Our On-site Alternative Provision will offer support to these students and to those who may have already been accessing their education in an external alternative provision.  The aim of the On-site Alternative provision is to support students and prepare them for a return to the Academy.  The successful candidate will play a key role in the planning, implementation and running of our brand new On-site Alternative Provision.
