Despite the recent cold weather the Spring term is proving a really vibrant time in the Academy. With the summer term fast approaching with its exams it is really pleasing to reflect on all the progress during the Spring term.

Year 11, Sixth form students and staff have been working incredibly hard preparing for the GCSE and A level exams. Already nearly 70% of students in Year 11 have already achieved a C+ grade in Maths and many more have completed a range of GCSE courses.

But as we all know life in the Academy is more than just exams and it is great to see the Year 9 Youth Club attracting over 100 students every Friday evening and with plans progressing to open to Year 7 and 8 students. March 5th will see a major careers event taking place for all Trent and Sixth Form students and this Friday will see that final of our annual talent show with 14 acts shortlisted after weeks of heats – I wish them all the very best of luck.
